Dear Valued Clients, Friends, and Family,
In our efforts to follow CDC and AVMA protocols to maintain the safest environment and limit potential transfer of COVID-19 for our staff, clients and patients, we are currently not permitting client entry into our Veterinary Hospital. We will continue to offer routine and non-routine care visits with increased appointment times. We will screen the client for any known potential risk before we confirm the appointment is scheduled. To conserve limited personal protective gear in case human hospitals run short, we may limit some elective surgical procedures and reschedule to a later date.
The front door to the clinic will remain locked with a notice to clients to call from their vehicles. Before proceeding with screening questions, we will confirm the phone number for contact. At that point, we may screen the client by asking if they or anyone they have been in contact with has or had respiratory symptoms in the past 2 weeks, traveled within the past 30 days, or there is known COVID-19 positive history. If the client answers yes to any of these questions we may reschedule them to a later date, providing the pet is not in need of immediate care. If the patient is in need of immediate care, our staff will prepare with personal protective equipment/attire, retrieve the patient from the vehicle and minimize contamination upon entry into and when exiting the building.
Upon completion of the appointment, we will receive payment over the phone and provide the owner with a receipt and medications as we return the patient to their vehicle.
We welcome feedback and ideas that will result in better management of this uncharted territory we are facing together as we remain devoted to our patients healthcare needs.
